The Orcas Island Farmers Market is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday through the end of September. It is located on the Village Green in the heart of Eastsound. All items sold in the market are grown or crafted by Orcas Island farmers and artisans. The market includes produce, much of it organic, crafts, art, jewelry, clothing, pottery, food and drink vendors, and some of Orcas Island's service organizations (historical museum, master gardeners).

Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival celebrates its 11th season this year. The two-week summer Chamber Music Festival features internationally renowned musicians, many of whom are drawn to return to perform with Core Ensemble members Aloysia Friedmann and Jon Kimura Parker. Ms. Friedmann and Mr. Parker also serve as Artistic Director and Artistic Advisor, respectively.
